my views that i have on heaven from previous readings and movies is that it is a place of happyness and your past is forgotten where as in the novel the five people in heaven, when eddie dies and goes to heaven he meets five people that have effected his life which is not the usual view of heaven.

this sequence shows us all about the relationship between manni and Lola and how manni relies on lola for all the answers when he gets into trouble. it also shows us who Lola relies on in life which at this time she relies on her papa.

this is true in my opinion as where one part of life starts is where the next part of life beggings such as when i finish school it is the begginning of my life in the work force of when i leave home it is the beginning of my life on my own. Everytime i wake up is the beginning of that day and at the end of that day i will end in that same bed, so every ending is a beginning.

This is more about fate really, in the story the young man had lost his key, he had been drinking so this was a good thing but losing the key had a flow on effect and that was the it got jammed in to the ride at the theme park and that ridew broke and killed a man.
this meaning that one story joins in with the other, if i choose not to do my homework before weekend for the teacher to mark then the teacher will have to give up another weekend to mark my homework. two stories that join together...

Controlling or Manipulating Time??

I think that it would be great if we were able to control time and if we were to make a mistake be able to turn back time and fix it. It would also be cool if i could slow down time such as if i was late tio school or work, slow time down but speed my pace up. it is forever impossible for this to happen the only time i can control is my own and that would be just to stop my clock but that would not change the rest of the worlds.

To tell the truth i have made many mistakes and now that i think about it, i would not want to go back in time and change it because it is from these mistakes that i have learnt what i have learnt and that is how i got where i am today and were i am is good for me. i admit it could be better but why wouild i want better when i may not even like my life if it is better, why change something that im happy with, why change the fate that i have made for myself.

Key Idea in Run Lola Run

I have mentioned what i think the key ideais in other posts.
i did not mention a small but critical key idea and that is love, this movie portrays that love conquers all, when Manni lost the money Lola choose to stick by the love of her life and help him find some money to pay the drug dealer back, she in one sequence was killed in the process of saving her love. in the final sequence Manni saves himself but Lola still turns up with the money and they nw have lots of money to love each other with.

Manni And Lola

my first impressions was that they both had something to do with the black markets within the area and that Lola never washes or brushes her hair. After the first scene i new that their relationship was strong and that they genuinly loved each other.
Lola is the controlive one in the relationship and is also relied on for all the answers when Manni stuffs up, which in my opinion he must do alot.
Manni also panics very easily and his head is not all there meaning that he doesnt have all the brains to work byh himself in the black market scene.

Do our choices really have this much impact?

I do think that every choice that i make does have all different outcomes and what outcome we choose decides how much it impacts others, such as if i was to drive to the shop following the speed limit and a kid crosses the road, i will not hit the kid therefor the impact is not the bad were as if i was to spped to the shop and the kid crossed the road, i would then hit them. this will cause the impact on the kid to be huge as well as impact the parents of the kid.

Thoughts on Narrative Techniques

I think that the director used the varied narative techniques to put accross his storyline and show that it is not real life and that it is all made up but it is true that one persons fate can be changed by another persons choice.
The style he created is unique and i like the fact that it is not like other films, this film is not dragged out as the series of events change everytime, therefore making it more interesting.
The animation showed that the storyline was not true but it didnt really go with the rest of the film at all.

Run lola Run Final View

This movie was very interesting as it came to the ending, as her fate changes three times until the point were Lola is satisfied with the out come that just hapend to be that Ronnie gets his money and both Lola and Manni live but with a little extra money. For me Lolas hair is the image that stood out to me the most and and the weird homeless guy that stole the money.
I found it very interesting that the homeless man had basicly nothing and after he got the bag he ended up with a new jacket and a new bike yet still when manni hands over the money at the end, Ronnie excepts it and manni walks off with Lola. yet there would not be the full amount of money in the bag so all the money cant have been handed over butr nt all movies relise this when they are in the making.
I also kind of new when Lola was shot the 1st time that she wsnt goin to die for the reason that the movie is named after her and afterwards relised that it was not only her fate that changed. When one persons fate changed then all the rest changed to thus showing that if one person makes any decision than it can change not only their fate but the fate of others.

I think that our teache chose this film because it was about fate (being the topic we are studying) and that it was interesting and also to show us how on persons choice can change everyones fate.

Run Lola Run 1st viewing

This movie is quite hard to follow but then its kind of not, if you get what im saying, it goes back to the same place and restarts with a different series oof events. Everytime it goes back Lola (main character) changes her fate. This movie did confuse me a little but this just made me more interested in watching it and so far i think the main story line is how Lola's fate is changing...

WHAT MAKES A GOOD FILM?

A good film is totally based on the stroyline, if there is no good story line then the actors have nothing to act and the direcrtor has nothing to direct. But a good film also needs good actors, they do not need to be famous they just need to know how to act and how to act properly. All actors dont begin famous they start out as good actors and build up a reputation and thats when they become famous. A good film also needs to have a good director someone that knows what they are doin and how the storyline is to be portrayed.
